Founded in 2004 by the Chinese Aku & Ahui, the Swede Philip Laurell & the Dane Anders Baadsgaard Pedersen (Andy) - out of love for the nature & culture of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet. Shepherd Planet aims to arrange unique quality treks & tours to untouched places in the region.
Aku - is the passionate leader of our assistants and trek guides. Also most of the time Aku is active as a guide himself. He has more than 9 years of experience in leading people from around the world to incredible places in western China and is the inventor of our unique treks. Anders Baadsgaard Pedersen (Andy) - freelance tourleader and independent travel adviser. He is since the summer of year 2000 based in China with his Chinese family and together they also run the Beijing Yoga school Fine-Yoga. He was raised in Denmark and educated in the Scandinavian travel industry. Andy is responsible for bookings, tour programming, writing, advertising and sales. Ahui - she is now concentrating her efforts on managing her restaurant Mishi, working for the Lijiang tourism authorities and doing interesting charity work in Lijiang county.
Philip Laurell - is a professional photographer and part owner of the fantastic Lijiang Old Town restaurant Mishi.
