Day 1 Arrive Lijiang and meet the shepherd guide who takes you to Zen Garden Hotel. Later you can have a walk around Lijiang Old Town followed by our welcome dinner in Mishi restaurant.
Day 2
Lijiang - Wenhai
Half hour's driving from Lijiang to YUHU village where the trek and your adventure begins. Today is a 4 hours trek including 3 hs climbing and a picnic lunch.
Camp on the side of Wenhai lake where we can enjoy the view of Jade Dragon
Snow Mountain. Curious yaks and cows keep walking around the camping site. 3100m.
If you prefer a bit more comfort you can stay overnight in the guest house. (Hot shower may not be available).
Day 3
Wenhai - Shepherd sheds
2 hrs walking up to a grassland. 3300m. Where shepherds, sheep and goats live together in the simple sheds. We are going to camp and enjoy a great view of the snow mountain accompanied by the voices of the goats and sheep.
Lunch at the camp site. After lunch, if we have energy to go, we are going to explore in “the big jungle” with sheep. Your shepherd AKU is going to make a big campfire keeping burning whole night. (No shower available).
Day 4
Shepherd shed - Small lake
Today is a 5hrs walking. 2:30 climbing and 2:30 hrs down way. Lunch in a
beautiful Naxi village. Camp in another grass land with a small lake which
is very close to Lashi lake. We can get a birds-eye view of Lashi
lake. 2700 m. (No shower available).
Day 5
Small Lake - RELAXED GUESTHOUSE
4 hrs walking. No up way. If we are tired we can walk ONLY 2hrs
and then take van to RELAXED GUESTHOUSE to have a relaxing time. RELAXED
GUESHOUSE is situated on the shore of LASHI lake. Where we can meet our van
which will take us back to Lijiang. Lunch in the guesthouse. (Shower may be available).
Free time in Lijiang and overnight in Zen Garden Hotel.
Day 6
After breakfast transfer to the airport to catch you flight.
SUGGESTIONS:
If someone becomes tired along the way we can easily find extra horses. We use horses to carry our equipment: tents, sleeping bags...and cooking stuff......food.
