Packing list

Equipment to bring for a Trek in general:

  • trekking boots (soft ones will be more easy and comfortable)
  • some pairs of thick socks
  • sandals (always nice to let you feet get enough air after you take off your boots)
  • professional walking sticks (depending on your physical condition)
  • thermal underwear
  • underwear (so easy to get sweaty when you trek)
  • sunglasses
  • head flashlight (very useful  - you can even read in your tent at night) 
  • fleece jacket (always nice to have)
  • goretex jacket
  • sleeping bag (from minus 5 to 12 degree Celsius would be the most suitable and feel nicer)
  • sleeping mat
  • towel
  • sunscreen lotion
  • steel/plastic waterbottle (max 2 liters)
  • medicine (for cold, diarrhorea, bleeding......of course we have first-aid box as well )
  • toothbrush with toothpaste
  • backpack 
  • trousers
  • bermuda shorts (for walking on hot days)

snacks

  • chocolate (Chinese chocolate is never good enough)
  • biscuits
  • energy bar
  • coffee, etc.

All above is available from shops in Lijiang with the exception of boots exceeding size 43, which can be hard to find.
